Webinar “Creative Archives”, 02-12 June 2020

The Department of Theatre Studies of the University of the Peloponnese, in collaboration with the ‘Lilian Voudouri’ Music Library of Greece (Friends of Music Society) and the Research Centre for Modern Greek Dialects (Academy of Athens) organized the training webinar Creative Archives as Innovative Cultural Hubs. The webinar was held through the Zoom digital platform from 2 until 12 of June 2020. Eleven trainers and twelve trainees participated in the seminar.



The thematic of the webinar revolved around the promotion and dissemination of cultural archives as spaces of creation, through the application of innovative practices such as interactive communication, transmedia storytelling, digital technology and the performing arts. The eleven tutors of the webinar came from a wide range of scientific fields, such as archival studies, librarianship, theatre studies, musicology, linguistics, anthropology, social studies, history and performing arts. The Webinar was evaluated as “excellent” and “extremely useful” by the participants.

Topic 01: “Research resources, Cultural Archives and Databases”; Topic 02: Bibliographic resources of the Performing Arts; Topic 03: “Primary archival research. Composition of Ergography”. Dates: 30.05.2019, 06.06.2019, 13.06.2019; Location: Nafplion (GR), Dept. of Theatre Studies, Leda Tassopoulou Hall; Trainers: Avra Xepapadakou, Valia Vraka; Trainees: 30 students of the course “Methodology of Research”.


As part of the "Methodology of Theatrical Research" course curriculum at the Department of Theatrical Studies in Nafplio, CRearch reasearchers Avra ​​Xepapadakou and Valia Vraka taught three seminars on cultural research and documentation with the following topics a) Research Sources, Cultural Archives and Databases, b) Theatrical Bibliography, c) Performance on May 30, June 6 and June 13, 2019. The seminars were open to all the Department students.

Α ten-day workshop on cultural documentation and digitization addressed to students from Italy took place in the Comandini theatre in Cesena, Italy, from 25.03.2019 to 04.04.2019.
