Presentation in the International Conference: Archives – borders, identities, reflections, 6th Croatian ICARUS Days, 25-26 March 2021.


 This paper was presented in the session “Creative interpretations of archival sources” in the framework of the International Conference Archives – borders, identities, reflections. The paper focused on the organizational strategy of a contemporary performing arts archive, in order to gain access to the living material from which the staged result was created, and delve into the performances’ genetic analysis and interpretation.

This paper, published in the proceedings of the Euromed 2019 Conference on Digitization of Cultural Heritage, discusses a new model of archival management and focuses on the ever evolving documentation process and emphasizing its peculiarities.

Scientific Supervisor, Assistant Professor Elena Papalexiou and Researcher Avra ​​Xepapadakou have published an article entitled "Creating an archive of sovereign artifacts - Archive Romea Castelluccija i kazališne skupine Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio" [Creating a contemporary performing arts archive], in @rhivi magazine, 7/2020, 17-18. The article explores the archive of the internationally acclaimed stage director Romeo Castellucci and his artistic company, Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio.

The Greek team’s principal investigator, Assistant Professor Eleni Papalexiou and senior researcher Avra ​​Xepapadakou took part in a Conference on “Funding opportunities for cultural institutions. Possibilities and perspectives”, organized by the Municipality of Nafplio and the "Creative Europe” office in Greece which took place in Nafplio, on 27.02.2020. The two participants presented "The European projects ARGOS and CREARCH Europe as Program examples of good practice", speaking about the challenges and opportunities associated with the Creative Europe Program and citing specific examples, from their own experience in running European projects.
